Schlomo and Lulu Belle

Schlomo the Dog
Schlomo The Dog
Schlomo came home from the CACC on June 1st, 1996. We picked him because he was the saddest dog we had ever seen. He was named after a shoe-repair we passed along the way.

He's an extremely intelligent and very emotional creature with a big personality. He is very attached to his [people] friends and cries with joy when he sees them. He gets so excited by the snow he hyperventilates and loses consciousness. He's often cantankerous. He learned to swim only 2 years ago, prior to that he almost drown on several occasions. He likes to share your pillow when you sleep but will steal your spot when you're not looking. He thinks he's a real boy. He's the little light in my life.

Lulu Belle
Lulu Belle
Lulu Belle came to our home Sunday, July 28th, 2002 at 6 months old. She was found abandoned in Jethro's parking lot in Brooklyn pretty neglected. We found her listed on Petfinder.org.

She is an unbelievably sweet girl. Schlomo was really mad when she first arrived and made her sit by the front door. Finally she gently wacked him in the face and they've been playing like maniacs ever since. She totally won him over. She wins everyone over. She's 45 pounds and tries to climb into people's laps all the time. She loves her ball. And loves eating indiscriminately from the sidewalk. She just loves to love and she completely melts my heart everyday.
